This is a remarkable example of mid-century modern jewelry reflecting the Space Age era. According to the manager of the estate from whence this item came, it is believed the artisan who crafted the ring, intended it to represent a spaceship, and that it was made prior to the moon landing in 1969. It is beautifully crafted in sterling silver with an artistic frame exhibiting a design undulated between a textured and polished finish on top and reticulated designs below. It features a gorgeous 10.00 carat smoky quartz that is crown-set with an open gallery. The ring is US size 7 and the shank is a firm 4.40 mm wide. See below for sizing options and other details.
