Description

SettingSetting: Sterling Silver .925

Main Gemstone: Madeira Citrine

Size: Small, Size 5

Designer/Hallmark: Ric (for Erika Hult de Corral) ; TR-26 (her Taxco hallmark implemented in 1980 in Mexico)

This is a vintage sterling silver cuff bracelet from designer Erika Hult de Corral, a Modernist Taxco Mexico Silversmith, who studied in France at the Paris Branch of Parsons School of Design. The bracelet is very well crafted.  It appears to have been cut from a single sheet of sterling silver that measures approximately 2.50-2.65 mm. The featured gemstone is an approximate 1.25 carat, warm and richly colored Madeira citrine. It seems the gem basket is soldered onto the bracelet.  The artist chose to place the gemstone in an East/West orientation with six prongs, distributing one at each corner and an additional prong on the east and west end. The angled "arms" of the bracelet are rigid and DO NOT bend. There is approximately 7/8" opening.  It is approximately a size 5 (5"). It is estimated to be circa mid- to late 1970’s.  Admin: 33120/20lhn
